Flora and Fauna
A report by Cheshire Wildlife Trust in 1997 described the Moss area as having a mosaic of habitats, ditches,woodland, scrub, wet patches and mossland supporting a variety of species.
Fauna included:
- Over 100 varieties of birds including Buzzards and Grasshopper Warblers..
- Butterflies, amphibians and dragonflies 9including Symetrum Danea)
- Common Shrews.
- Rare Water Voles
- Pipistrelle and Noctualle Bats
Flora included:
- Heather
- Bilberry
- Coomon cats-ear
- Cotton Grass
- Molinea
